of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills
that students should acquire at each grade level. |

Plan |

The
PSD, the Board of Trustees, and each school site will adopt
and support the on-going work of the District Literacy Team
(DLT) in implementing and adhering to District Literacy Plan
(DLP). The DLP addresses the vision, direction, and coordination
of establishing and maintaining a comprehensive, coherent structure
for language arts teaching and learning. |

In
addition to having been taught mathematics based on the district
standards in K-7, every student who graduates from eighth grade
in Pacifica School District will have been given the opportunity
to learn algebra. |

Language Development Plan

It
is the belief of the Pacifica School District that English learner
students deserve the opportunity to acquire linguistic competencies
that native English speakers already possess when they enter
school and to continue to develop these competencies throughout
their life. |

The
Pacifica School District (PSD) Arts Plan (DAP) addresses teaching
and learning in the arts – specifically in dance, music,
theatre, and the visual arts. The plan is a living document
organized into seven elements that comprise a comprehensive
and balanced arts program. |
